Understanding PTSD for Veterans

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) affects approximately 7% of the US population. Veterans have a higher risk of developing post-traumatic stress disorder, especially those who have been sent to war zones. Research shows that around 30% of war veterans in Afghanistan and Iraq develop PTSD.

Living with post-traumatic stress disorder can be extremely difficult if it goes undiagnosed. Symptoms range from mild to severe and can be life changing. Understanding the symptoms of PTSD can help veterans and their loved ones lead healthier, happier lives.
